Immunotherapy
Dedicated to the repair and balancing of the immune system

Healthcare services imageIf you Google what causes autoimmune disease the answer is “Genetics, toxins, infection, hormones”

Autoimmune diseases are the most common diseases in the United States. 1 in 12 to 1 in 20 Americans have at least 1 autoimmune disease. Rates of autoimmune disease are increasing by 12% to 20% per year and are affecting us younger and younger. Over 75% of Americans live with chronic illness.

Why Are We So Sick?

Stress – 75%-80% of medical visits involve stress related factors – over 20% of adults in the United States are on an anxiety / depression medication.

Genetics – 40% of Americans have genetic factors that lead to increased rates of chronic illness and the inability “to handle modern life”

Inflammation – is the big driver to chronic illness. Most chronic illnesses are due in large part to chronic inflammation.

What is Driving Chronic Inflammation?

Toxicity - Americans are exposed to over 80,000 toxins on a daily basis- 3,600 chemicals in food packaging alone. The average newborn in the United States is born with over 200 to 250 toxins in their bloodstream.

Allergy - As the world gets more toxic our immune systems are getting more reactive. There has been a 400% to 800% increase in allergies since 1960. Celiac alone has increased by over 400% since 1960.

Infection - At least 95% of Americans carry latent (dormant) infections, which are viruses and bacteria that live in our body. The immune system's job is to keep these microbes in a non-reactive or “latent” state. As the world gets more toxic our immune system cannot perform it’s primary function – protecting us from the world. These microbes become active and create an inflammatory response at tissue level. Antibiotics or antivirals may suppress these microbes temporarily, but until the immune system is repaired these microbes keep breaking out of control, causing ongoing inflammation and illness.

Hormones - Hormonal imbalances are becoming increasingly common. We are exposed to over 1,000 endocrine disrupting chemicals daily, these chemicals affect not only hormonal integrity but immune integrity.

So - What Do We Do About This?

Identify reactions to foods, chemicals, genetic factors, chronic infection.

Spectra Vision Scan – This is an advanced form of electro dermal screening, it floods the body with frequencies multiple times (8 times for each toxin) to see what creates the largest stress response. Much like a radar system sends out an energetic pulse – if a small pulse comes back, it may be a tree, if a larger pulse comes back, it may be a mountain. We use this technology as an investigative tool to get an idea of what is creating the most stress.

Neurological Response Testing

This is a technique that uses evaluation of neurological reflexes to screen for significant stress responses. The mechanism is the flexor withdrawal reflex reaction. Just as a person will automatically pull their hand back from a hot surface – Flinch. When a ball is thrown at your face, the body will – Flinch. The body will – Flinch – when exposed to foods, chemicals or microbes that it considers threatening.

Immunotherapy

Just as an allergist will use allergy shots (uses small bits of the genetic material of what is causing the allergic reaction to redirect the immune system) We use small bits of genetic material to redirect the immune cells from attaching our tissues to attaching the viruses and bacteria – either forcing them out of the body or back into latent state.

What Kind of Conditions do We Treat?

Our most common patients: Lyme Autoimmune – PANDAS – Chronic Fatigue – Fibromyalgia – Chronic Gastrointestinal – “Classical” Autoimmune Diseases such as Lupus, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Hashimoto’s, Autoimmune Thyroiditis, Psoriasis, Eczema, Celiac Disease, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Hormonal Dysregulation.

How Long Does an Immunotherapy Treatment Take?

A typical treatment program usually take 1 to 1.5 years with the patient being seen every 45 to 60 days. We can compare this to the average treatment time for braces is 12 to 24 months. The average allergy shot program generally requires a 3 to 5 year commitment of monthly shots.
